Simple Syrup

Ingredients

3 cups sugar
3 cups water

Preparation

  1. Prepare an ice bath, and set aside. In a medium saucepan, bring the sugar and water to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar has completely dissolved. Transfer to a medium bowl set in the ice bath; let stand until chilled, stirring occasionally, before using or storing. Simple Syrup can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
