Carrot, Orange, and Ginger Eye-Opener

I consider myself a pretty high-energy guy, but some mornings, even I need something that will really wake me up. The fresh ginger and pinch of salt brighten the fresh fruit and vegetable juices here, making this an ideal breakfast drink. It also cures a hangover like nothing else. Or so I’m told . . .

Ingredients

1Ā 1/2 cups fresh carrot juice
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
3/4 cup fresh passion fruit juice
3/4 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Preparation

  1. Combine the juices, yogurt, ginger, sugar, and salt in a blender. Puree until smooth. Serve chilled.
