This smoky blush cocktail features Cappelletti, a Campari-like aperitif that shares its ruby red color but is slightly less sweet and not quite as bitter.

Ingredients

1½ ounces gin
1½ ounces mezcal
¾ ounce Cappelletti
¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
¼ ounce fresh orange juice

Preparation

  1. Combine gin, mezcal, Cappelletti, lemon juice, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake until outside of shaker is frosty, about 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled champagne coupe or Nick and Nora glass.
