Waldorf Dip

For a double dose of spice, serve this ā€œscent-sationalā€ dip with crisp gingersnaps. The combination is perfect as a slightly sweet appetizer or a bite of quick dessert.

Ingredients

8 ounces fat-free plain yogurt
1 medium apple, such as Granny Smith, Gala, or Fuji, peeled and finely chopped
1 medium rib of celery, finely chopped
1/4 cup chopped walnuts, dry-roasted
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparation

    In a medium bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Serve at room temperature or cover and refrigerate for up to three days. Stir gently just before serving if the mixture has become slightly watery.
